Ray Richmond is adding to Deadline's coverage of TCA Fox's drama Terra Nova is actually likely to premiere in September, the producers from the megabucks Fox prehistoric drama Terra Nova -- which apparently has been around some type of production because the Jurassic Period -- assured experts and also at a TCA panel this mid-day. Professional producers Rene Echevarria, Brannon Braga and Jon Cassar was adamant that not just would the show be premiering on schedule having a two-hour rollout on Sept. 26 another payments from the 13-episode production are finally coming along regardless of the challenging visual effects and production difficulties stemming in the Queensland, Australia shoot. Both-hour pilot initially was reserved to air in May, but issues stemming in the drama's cutting-edge technology pressed it to fall. And today? Will everything be shipped promptly? "Absolutely," Echevarria assured the area. "At this time, we are shooting episodes 8 and 9. We are in publish on 3, 4 and 5. We are putting the finishing touches to the second hour from the dinosaur-wealthy pilot after doing a bit of reshoots in Australia. We are also preparing episodes 10 and 11. Nearly every episode is within play at this time ... This show is really ambitious in scope and it has it's challenges. But we have finally wrangled it ...There's a pipeline that's been produced using the visual effects house and also the animation and rendering and texturing. Was there a learning curve? Yes." Braga stressed that certain reason the show has experienced some production growing pains and delays is the fact that they are basically reinventing the wheel with Terra Nova when it comes to the results technology they are instituting. "It really wasn't possible to get this done show until now," he stated. "We are literally creating (new) things once we complement. Added Echevarria: "Lots of production houses we contacted stated, sorry, it cannot be achieved, this is not on the time period we needed. Even 5 years ago this show simply wouldn't happen to be possible." Earlier within the day, Fox's entertainment leader Kevin Reilly confirmed that Terra Nova is only going to produce 13 episodes this year. He stated that contractually, if restored, the series should really get a 22-episode pickup for Season 2 but, because of the complexity of production, may stay with more compact orders, with 13 episodes like a possibility. Steven Spielberg is notoriously one of the show's listing of 13 executive producers, and Braga assured that his connection to the series has been much more than ceremonial. "He'll have a sequence and evaluate it in this kind of instructive way," Braga stated. "The show is stuffed with elements like this. He's considered in on visual results of course, on scripts, on casting, about the feel and look from the show." Added co-star Jason O'Mara: "His presence is felt constantly about the set and through the overall product." Requested following the panel when the show's rumoredprice tagof $100 million is at the ballpark of reality, Echvarria responded, "No, definitely not even close." Lacking or excessive? "Oh, high. I so wish I'd a financial budget like this.Inch
