in a really small town in New Hampshire and music is definitely my
passion. I really want to focus on singing but I also play piano and I
want to learn to play the guitar. I want to make my chances extremely
possible for being a singer in the future but it's hard to under the
circumstances that I'm in considering the population of my town and
how far I have to travel for a decent city, plus I can't drive yet.
The type of music that I listen to and want to get into are bands like
We Are The in Crowd, Tonight Alive, Breathe Carolina, Every Avenue,
Cash Cash, Breathe Electric, The Summer Set, Forever the Sickest Kids,
Paramore, Hey Monday, A Day to Remember, etc. I have a broad range,
but if you notice that you don't know a lot of these, it's because
they are still on their way to becoming a success. I don't know if any
one else understands that, they're great bands with lots of great fans
but they're not so mainstream. I feel like I am a unique individual
and could really be something that someone is looking for, as a
musician/band. I have a really good sight reading ability, I can
understand lots of musical terms, this past year in my chorus class I
got 2 solos which is a record because I was only a freshmen. I have
some experience with writing songs but I haven't really put myself to
it yet.
I just want advice on what to do because I know this is what I want to
do with life, it's just I'm having a hard time getting there. I know
that the chances of being "discovered" are pretty much 0 but I'm
willing to work hard for it. Whether that means going to college for
music? I just don't know, because to be honest I don't even have any
other interests that I would ever want to do with my life. I truly
believe that the music life is for me. Touring all the time, recording
with people, meeting other bands, I'm up for the good times and the
bad times.
